Tae Guek Chil Jang - a 25 stage pattern

Tae Guek Chil Jang from the Joon Be position:

  1. Turn left 90, slide out left foot into cat stance, at the same time right batang sohn nulla maki

  2. Right front kick, return to left cat stance and at the same time perform left hand inward block

  3. Turn body 180 to right pivoting on ball of left foot into right cat stance, at the same time left batang sohn nulla maki

  4. Left front kick, return to right cat stance and at the same time perform right hand inward block

  5. Look 90 left and slide left foot forward into left back stance at the same time, perform left knife hand double low block

  6. Slide right foot forward into right back stance, at the same time perform right low block

  7. 7->8 are performed in rapid, continuous motion
    Turn face and body 90 left while sliding left with left foot into left cat stance, at the same time right batang sohn nulla maki with left fist placed under right elbow, palm down

  8. Maintain left cat stance and perform right dung chu mok chigi to face as rapidly as possible

  9. 9->10 are performed in rapid, continuous motion
    Turn body 180 right while pivoting to right on ball of left foot and sliding to the right with right foot into right cat stance, at the same time, perform left batang sohn null maki with right fist placed under left elbow, palm down

  10. Maintain right cat stance and perform left dung chu mok chigi to face as rapidly as possible

  11. Turn face and body 90 to the left and slide left foot next to right foot into moa sohgi, at the same time, cover left fist with right hand, palms in, in front of body at chin level.

  12. Slide left foot forward into left front stance, at the same time perform kawi maki (right low...); maintain stance and rapidly kawi maki (left low...)

  13. Slide right foot forward into right front stance, early in the slide, bring arms up to chamber for REPEAT of same-side scissor block: halfway in the stance, begin (left low) kawi maki as you reach the next front stance, finish performing kawi maki (left low...); maintain stance and rapidly reverse kawi maki (right low...)

  14. Turn 270 left while pivoting left on ball of right foot and sliding out with left foot, which crosses in an arc behind right foot, into left front stance, at the same time, spread middle block, palms out

  15. Right knee kick, leap forward (using right foot) into koa sohgi (left behind right) at the same time, choong dan dul jirugi (palms up).

  16. Slide left foot backward into right front stance, at the same time rapidly perform low otkolo maki (right over left)

  17. Turn body 180 right while pivoting right on ball of left foot and sliding out with right foot forward into right ap hoobi, at the same time, double spread middle block, palms out.

  18. Left knee kick, leap forward (using left foot) into koa sohgi (right behind left) at the same time, choong dan dul jirugi (palms up).

  19. Slide right foot backward into left front stance, at the same time rapidly perform low otkolo maki (right over left)

  20. Turn 90 left, slide left foot forward into front stance, at the same time left dung cho mok chigi to face area

  21. Right cresent kick into palm of left hand, step forward with right foot into horseback stance facing left 90 to direction of progress, right elbow strike into left palm.

  22. Turn body 90 right into right front walking stance, at the same time, perform right back fist to the right (not to front!)

  23. Left cresent kick into palm of right hand, step forward with left foot into horseback stance facing right 90 to direction of progress, left elbow strike into right palm.

  24. Maintain horse stance and perform left single knife hand middle block

  25. Slide right foot forward into opposite horse stance, grab opponent with left and punch to face with right at the same time left fist is pulled back to waist.

Turn body 90 left pivoting on ball of right foot back to ready.
