Chul Gi Sam Dan - A 6 stage pattern

Chul Gi Sam Dan from the Joon Be position:

Joon be ------- Normal ready: Feet apart shoulder width, fists.

  1. Transfer weight to right, as you do so chamber hands left over right on right, lift left foot to chamber (as if for front snap) and turn 90 right.turn back left into leftward front stance left chamber to waist (behind you now) right bakkat maki to front

  2. Turn forward to horse stance by shifting weight on feet; turn right hand down to cross solar plexus still in fist, right bakkat maki, right bakkat maki (both with fist inside elbow). Pull left to waist, uppercut, back to waist, punch, bakkat maki.

  3. Transfer weight to right, as you do so chamber hands left over right on right, lift left foot to chamber (as if for front snap) and turn 90 right.Step left leading to left, left hand crosses past knee as hand comes back up, step left out into horse stance, left hand continues into left low block, right hand at solar plexus in fist as assist; open right fist to palm, push a little towards left as you punch with left. Right knife hand check, left chambers at waist - then right chamber at waist, left assists at solar plexus level with fist.

  4. Step left over right, right over left into right facing front stance left hand bakkat maki to front, right hand chambered in rear at waist. Turn into front facing horse stance, drop blocking hand (left) down to inside elbow assist position, right bakkat maki, right bakkat maki, right to waist, uppercut, right to waist, punch, bakkat maki.

  5. Transfer weight to left, as you do so chamber hands right over left on left, lift right foot to chamber (as if for front snap) and turn 90 left.step right leading to right, right hand crosses past knee as hand comes back up, step right out into horse stance, right hand continues into right low block, left hand at solar plexus in fist as assist; open left fist to palm, push a little towards right as you punch with right. Left knife hand check, right chambers at waist - then left chamber at waist, right assists at solar plexus level with fist.

  6. Step right foot over left; left hand circles back behind body over head as you continue left over right stepping into horse stance, left arae maki, right bakkat maki for kawi maki, then reverse kawi maki, then left uppercut with right hand fist under left elbow
